The Traditional Good Friday Procession (Via Cruces) goes around the town passing by the Fourteen Capillas depicting the fourteen station of the cross. Ever since Monsignor Delgado took over as the Parish Priest, the Capillas have a simple look…with the cross and the number of station. Before capillas are somewhat grandiose with each barangay trying to come up with the best.
Alter boys lead the procession.
The first caro…with St. Peter. One of the oldest santos in the town.
Second car is The Trumphant Entry of Jesus Christ in Jerusalem. One of the new carros….Jeus Christ is garbed though like a King…..the garment should have been ordinary.
Another new carozza depicting the betrayal of Jesus by Judas Iscariot
Another new carozza with Jesus crowned with thorns. The image is not proportioned with overly large hands and the face of Jesus too bloody.
How I wish I have a good camera so I can capture the beauty of the flowers that always adorn the carroza of the Santo Intierro.
To be continued……….
